Sue is a certified veterinary technician, and she is the longest tenure technician at Lakeside having joined the staff in 1981. She graduated from the Medical Institute of Minnesota with her technician degree in 1979. She especially enjoys hand-on patient and client care. Besides having a multitude of professional technical skills, Sue manages the drug and supply ordering for the hospital. She enjoys the diversity of her job. “In human medicine, jobs are more specialized. Here I get to do bloodwork, x-rays, assist in surgery, dental work, pharmacy, outpatient appointments and client education.”

When not at work, Sue is very involved volunteering for her church and the local food pantry. She enjoys traveling and doing calligraphy. She shares her home with her husband Frank. They have had three golden retrievers who have all crossed the rainbow bridge – Jasmine, Keiki and Brandy.
